SCORING GUIDE
Cornhole scoring rules, made clear.
Each side throws four bags. A bag on the board is worth one raw point and a bag in the hole is worth three; cancellation determines the score awarded for the inning.
01
Raw points
Count one point for each bag remaining on the board and three points for each bag in the hole. Four bags can produce valid raw scores from zero through twelve, except eleven.
02
Cancellation scoring
Subtract the lower raw total from the higher raw total. Only the side with the higher total receives the difference as score points for that inning.
03
Winning and bust settings
Events can require reaching or exceeding a target, or use a configured bust rule that moves an over-target score to a specified value.
04
Why Advanced Bag Counting helps
Recording board and hole bags preserves both the raw performance and the score awarded after cancellation.
